This year for Valentine's day, I decided to get away from all the pink and red frills and go for something that could be used year round. These cute little hedgehogs are just the ticket!
I am running free through the fields. Wind's in my hair without a care. As a card I really am a steal. Come see me on etsy.
To reward myself for keeping up with my new year's reolutions and accomplishing some goals, I decided to buy some new stamps. Here is the first one. Sunflowers! I hope you like them. I made 3 cards with the stamp. This particular one represents summer and is my niece's favorite. All 3 cards can be seen and puchased on etsy. Just look up my shop: eljaesimpressions. Hope to see you there.
Welcome to my youth! This is my 80's girl card. She is full of fun, spirited, and with just a bit of bling. She even has the big hair with some glitter in it. Lol. I hope you like her. I love this stamp and hope to make more of her, especially for the nostalgic ones.
STORY: WEDNESDAY is my card making day. I made seven cards. I had trouble choosing a favorite one, I decided on the funnest one. I was inspired by the polka dots this week. I wanted a fun picture to go with the cardstock. I looked through my stamps and nothing really screamed out to me. So I went through my niece's stamps and found this cutie having fun. Perfect! I got out my copic pens and had at it. I am quite pleased with the results. I wanted a simple card this time around. I decided on a simple bouquet would be appropriate. NO glitz and glamour of glitter this time. Instead I used the elements of country crafting - raffia and gingham. This card is going on etsy for $2.
Welcome my new Rising star card. I like to do paper casting with cotton linter. The star is made with that process and then colored and glittered. it is on a blue cardstock with foiled striped paper and purple glitter paper. It is now available on etsy for $2.50
This card of the week is stamped images; copic markers add color, and a little bit of glitter paint highlights the journey. I've also added some copper ribbon. this card is going on sale on Etsy next week for $2. Be an early bird and get it here for half price. Just write me a comment and let me know if you want it.
Story: This card was a joint venture between my niece and I. she chose 2 of the 3 stamps used. I put together the background, the ribbon and any other details. The first time I colored it, I made the road into a stream. Though it's a pretty card, it didn't work with the quote. I tried a second time, it didn't come out as nice as I was hoping for. it was both too plain and too sparkly at the same time. This is my third attempt, and I think it came out nice. This little card is called tune on tones. I just love my puns. Anyway, the card is various shades of pink and purple and includes violins and musical notation. Story: This card was inspired by the sale of my piano card. I wanted to make a similar card but did not have another piano sticker. But then I found these beauties. I felt strongly about the pink and purple paisley paper so I put them together. It also has ombre purple ribbon. If you love a musician, then this card is for you. It will sell for $3 on etsy because the materials are hard to find. or buy it here for half price before it goes on etsy . Remember to let me know by 11:59 pm on November 18th. Thanks for your support.
This little thank you card is swirling with excitement. It has vibrant colors and a glitter heart and lovely orchid. There are plenty of ribbons and pearls. It will sell on etsy for $2.50. get it here as card of the week for half price. just contact me before November 8 @ 11:59 pm
Story: A perfect card to say thank you to someone who is a little modern and yet old-fashioned. Orchids were my mom' s favorite flower. I can still hear her voice telling me to write a thank you card. So I thought I would combine the two. Send this one with all your love and gratitude. Thanks mom. |
