IT'S BEEN TOO LONG
Thank you to those of you faithful enough to have kept on checking out the blog even though I haven't posted for 10 months now. Sheesh where did the time go? OK so now it's time for a quick post of catch up. First off, my employment situation. I am currently unemployed but have some great prospects in the works. The job I had last August didn't work out as well as I had hoped. So I transferred to a night counselor job. I loved the job, but the facility closed so I joined the ranks of the unemployed once again. In the meantime I have started classes for becoming a Registered Addiction Specialist (RAS). The program will take me the better part of another year. It will definitely be worth the effort. There are a lot of opportunities for RAS personnel. Granted the industry is in a state of flex, but it is definitely something I want to pursue.
My school is online and relatively inexpensive. It is quite a challenge for me. Thanks goes out to my niece who helped me figure out a schedule to get it all done.In between assignments I relax by making blank greeting cards. I am selling the cards on etsy under Eljaes impressions. See my business card posted here.I did finish the November NaNoWriMo. Poetry prompts left me with a mixture of emotion. In some ways I loved it,as it gave me new ideas other than just looking at the world around me and writing a poem. It also had its challenging moments when I wrote in forms that I was unfamiliar with. Now I have to figure out what I am going to do with this blog. I hope to get back to writing again on a regular basis. I am open to suggestions. please leaver me a comment. Thanks for reading my post. see you again soon.
